Purpose

Players occasionally have the choice of several teammates to kick to. If the longer option is within range and not covered, this option is preferred, as the closer player can turn and run past the longer option, receiving a handball from them.

Step 1
(A) kicks over (B)'s head to a leading (C), then sprints to where (B) was

(B) also leads towards (A), simulating giving (A) two kicking options, then reacts to the longer kick by turning and running towards (C)
Step 2
(B) runs past (C), receiving a handball before kicking long to a leading (D)

(B) must time their run and be running at full speed

(B) continues to station (D) after kicking
Step 3
(D) marks, runs and kicks over (C)'s head to a leading (B), then sprints to where (C) was

(C) also leads towards (D), simulating giving (D) two kicking options, then reacts to the longer kick by turning and running towards (B)
Step 4
(C) times their run past (B), receiving a handball before kicking long to a leading (A)

(C) continues to station (A) after kicking
