8-point Front and Square Kick

Purpose
This drill teaches players to make correct position front and square to make a handball as easy as possible for their teammate. If they are in the wrong position or leave too early, the handball will be prone to error.

    (A) runs their distance then kicks long to leading (B)

  • Step 2

    (B) handballs to (C) who has worked front and square of (B)
    (C) should be on the move towards (D), but not leave too early so they are past (B)

  • Step 3

    (C) runs the ball and kicks to leading (D)

  • Step 4

    (D) handballs to (E) who has worked front and square

  • Step 5

    The drill continues in this fashion around the square
